PIPING is the term used to describe an assembly of pipe and/or tube used in a plumbing system. There are two major types of plumbing piping systems: supply systems and drain, waste and vent systems. A SUPPLY PIPING SYSTEM is used to bring liquids or gases into a building. A DRAIN, WASTE AND VENT (DWV) PIPING SYSTEM is used to bring solid, liquid and gas wastes out of a building.
